Louise Numina Napananka is an emerging artist who resides in Darwin, Northern Territory. Her medium is painting on canvas using acrylic paints. Although she has not had any major exhibitions her work is highly sort after worldwide. Her simple designs based on her totems of ‘Bush Medicine’ and the ‘thorny devil’ sell in galleries Australia wide. Through online galleries her work hangs on walls in many countries around the world. She has a natural eye for colour and the ability to reinvent her totem of the medicine leaves in different ways to suit all tastes. She is a self-managed artist who has built her own reputation through her beautiful work.

Louise has strong family ties. She herself is a mother of three. Louise has five sisters all of whom painting and they were taught to paint by their aunties Gloria and Kathleen Petyarre, who are recognised in the top 10 aboriginal artists of Australia. With her love and enthusiasm for what she does Louise will soon be one of Australia’s most recognised artists.
