Liz – Owner

Together with her husband Nick, Liz started the Kenmore Gallery in 1984 in the little pink cottage, which some locals may remember was located behind the current premises. With almost 40 years’ experience in custom framing and artwork, Liz is the ideal person to help you make selections on your precious pieces. Coming from a background of running events for an international hotel group, Liz was ready to take on the challenge of owning and running her own business. And to this day Kenmore Gallery remains the mainstay for quality framing. With a great eye for colour, Liz will make the perfect selections for your work.

The western suburbs hold a special place for Liz, having grown up in Indooroopilly then building the family home in Chapel Hill- a bold homage to colour and style, with beautiful artworks adorning the walls. Supporting local is so important to Liz and she often enjoys running into all our wonderful customers on her trips to Kenmore Village and The Plaza. When she isn’t busy working, she loves spending time with her family especially her three beautiful grandchildren.

Jordan – Art Gallery Assistant

As Liz’s daughter, Jordan grew up at Kenmore Gallery surrounded by beautiful art which helped shape her love of interiors, art and fashion. Following 10 years in a corporate job, it was time for a change, and she has been working at Kenmore Gallery for the past 4 years, learning the ropes from Liz. Jordan has a strong love and appreciation for art and excels in helping customers choose the perfect finishes for their work. She lives locally with her young family and loves being a part of the Kenmore area. Since working at Kenmore Gallery, Jordan has finally understood why Liz says hello to so many people at the local shops- customers really do become friends at the gallery!

Judy

Born in Melbourne, Judy moved to Brisbane in 1991 with her family. Having a mother who owned a dance school meant Judy grew up with a strong love of the arts. After dancing as a young girl, she went on to teach dance and is still an examiner today. Judy learnt to sew from a young age with her mum, making costumes for their family’s dance school. This makes Judy the ideal person for needleworks. At Kenmore Gallery, all needleworks are hand-laced by Judy. While it is a time-consuming process, it is the gentlest way to ensure your work is handled carefully, and the best framing outcome is achieved.

Together with her husband, Judy loves to travel and experience different cultures; she loves seeing all the interesting and historical pieces that come in for framing. As a valuable member of our team, Judy does all the finishes on our custom framing pieces.
